I hope you are feeling well and finding ways to savor the natural world as an antidote to all of the human-created drama which continues to unfold here on planet earth.
As I mentioned in my previous Throwback Thursday post, I am revisiting my earliest blog posts — from almost 12 years ago — and updating them a little bit.
When I was deleting files from my laptop computer earlier this month, I found a bunch of photos from when I visited friends living in Shanghai.
With my friends’ permission I have added a few of them to my second blog post, which was inspired by an interesting thing which unfolded at the bilingual school where one of my friends was teaching.

Wow, reading the lyrics to the song the kids sang does make me wonder what was so politically sensitive about encouraging folks to be spontaneous and joyful in nature…that is truly where I experience the most peacefulness and freedom. Thanks for the beauty and gratitude filled post Will. This is the first post I remember with no music, which I always enjoy. BTW, this cranky old guy finds it hard to read the words to the sides of your photos. May I ask why you split up your words that way instead of separating them from the photos?

Me, too! We had a light sprinkling of snow (!) this morning with cold rain forecast to fall for the next 18 hours. I am comforting myself by thinking about the spring and summer flowers that all of this rain will fuel…
